The Realization of Role Change in Multi-robot Systems

The multi-robot should possess overlapping functions when performing task considering the dynamic characteristic, uncertainty of the environment and diversity of tasks. The functions here refer to the abilities the robot possesses. The state of one robot at some time is called as a role which can change along with the need of the task performed. In this paper the role change algorithm is put forward, and whose role will change depends on the will of individual robot and the distance between the two robots. At last, we take a multi-robot team patrolling a block as an example to discuss the feasibility of the change of role.
