Kinematics Characteristics Analysis of Spatial RSSR Mechanisms

Kinematics characteristics analysis for Links of spatial mechanisms is a difficult question and can be carried out by analytical methods. However, the analysis result is expressed in function and equation, and can not be showed visually. The paper studies how to show kinematics characteristics analysis of RSSR mechanisms. First, a kinematics analysis model is established. By the model, equation is built and MATLAB functions are used to draw diagrams of the output links angular displacements, angular velocities and angular accelerations. Second, three dimensional model of RSSR mechanisms is established based on the SolidWorks software. The analysis result is gained by COSMOSMotion. After the two solutions being compared, it is showed that the result is the same and the kinematics analysis method based on 3D software is an efficient and convenient tool to analyze the motion of spatial mechanisms.
