Polarimetric Glucose Monitoring in Multi-layered Tissues Based on Monte Carlo Modeling
A novel method for blood glucose measurement is presented. The measuring system consists of modulated laser, polarizer, photodiode and the lock-in amplifier. To study the light propagation and distribution in skin, the tissues model is established by using Monte Carlo Method. The results demonstrate that linear relationship between concentration of glucose in the range of physiological level and rotation degree of polarized light .The measurement system utilize balanced detector reduces the intensity noise originating from the laser, The technique, makes possible a direct measurement of a component of the Stokes vector and, most importantly fits measurements on the tissue by using near-infrared laser.
