The Laser Triangulation Measurement System Based on Embedded System
Laser measurement based on triangulation is a traditional method for measuring displacement. Along with the development of Lasers, photoelectric detectors and computers, triangulation method has made much progress and found more and more applications. Several laser methods based on triangulation for measuring displacement are surveyed and discussed in this paper. Laser triangulation measurement techniques can be mainly divided into two types, the normal incidence and oblique incidence, based on the incidence way of the light. The measurement principles of these two kinds are introduced respectively. The Embedded System is a kind of computer system with special functions. When it is integrated with measurement instruments, it will enhance the ability and intelligence of instruments. This paper introduces a new portable triangulation displacement measurement instrument based on ARM9 (S3C2410A). the measurement system is based on Windows CE.net Embedded System, and the hardware structure system is composed of seven parts: laser triangulation measurement optical imaging system, CCD control circuit, ARM Embedded control system, Communication interface, 8051 MCU, 6.4 inch LCD and touch screen. In the other hand, the software function module includes six parts: system status check, system initialization, system communication, data sampling and processing, curve generating, document managing.
