Design and Implementation of Real-time Detecting and Controlling System of Driving Fatigue Based on Infrared Imaging
It is important factor that fatigue driving affects vehicle safety driving. Intelligentized vehicle is development direction to vehicle industry in the future. A architecture design of intelligent detecting and controlling system for driving fatigue based on infrared imaging is presented in this paper. Real-time drivers face is detected and the fatigue status of driver is identified by using infrared imaging technology, thus helping system implement part function of intelligentized vehicle, and on the other hand transmitting the drivers fatigue status to fore-and aft vehicles drivers by signal or wireless communication for showing or reminding them to take action and pay attention to security. Through using FPGA to implement the timing control and drive circuits of the system and using DSP to pick-up targets character and identify targets, and a set of new preventing traffic accident implementation system resulting from fatigue driving is build up, which provided with automatic safety alarm and automatic flameout/brake to reduce speed. The result of experiments indicates that the system have vehicle safety driving assistant performance, reduce or avoid the traffic accidents to some extent, Which provides theoretical and realistic significance to prevent drivers fatigue, safeguard drivers safety.
