Structure, Features, and Design of a Health Smart Home System for Elderly and Disabled People

This paper describes the structure, features, and design of a Health Smart Homes (HSH) system for elderly and disables people. The system consists of the subsystem for patients homes and a Remote Control Center (RCC). The robotized care bed was designed as assistive device to assist elderly and disabled people in their everyday needs. The Unified Model Language (UML) notation has been used to show various component models for system design. The HSH system has been entirely developed and realized laboratory experiments. In future, an application of this HSH system will be carried out in city of Foshan, Guangdong province.
