Research on Intelligent Test of Cannon Bore Based on Real-time Communication
The cannon tube is a structure of thick-wall cylinder. The wall of the bore would bear a pressure over 100MPa when in firing, and the relative speed between the projectile and the wall of bore would rise up to 1000m/s. To guarantee the reliability of the tube, maintaining a high quality of the bore is necessary. However, as the tube is quite long a part, it is difficult to test. Therefore, we have developed the intelligent test system for the bore. The developed test system can meet the measure task of the bore inner surface abrasion, ablation, and the tube linearity. Thus we can obtain the necessary parameters to support the remainder life estimation of the tube.
