The Design and Implementation of Fuel Cell Bus On-line Supervising System Based on CAN

In order to supervise the fuel cell bus on-line, a CAN network was established and an implementation method was put forward. The CAN network topology structure contained 3 subnets, including 2 high-speed subnets, with the baud rate of 250kbps, and 1 low-speed subnet, with the baud rate of 100kbps. Within all subnets, the expanded frame was applied, containing 29-bit identifier. The communication protocol was implementation with a CAN controller of NEC V850 70F3239 according to SAE J1939. The cycle of transmission was 10 ms, and the reception was triggered by interrupt. The other controllers were simulated with CANoe. The system has been tested in laboratory and operates stably, reliably, and meets application requirements.
