Research on Damage Assessment Method Based on Time Stress Measurement Technology

There has been a growing interest in monitoring the stresses such as shock, vibration, temperature etc in order to reduce false alarm of the built-in test (BIT) system and assess damage of the electromechanical system. This paper introduced a damage descriptive model based on time stress measurement technology and generalized stochastic Petri nets (GSPN), and presented a dynamic multipoint life consumption monitoring (DM-LCM) damage assessment method for components and electromechanical system. The method was implemented by means of relevance analysis between time stress and system faults, level analysis for time stress, damage assessment for system etc. Finally, an experimental study of motor unit was executed. The results show that the damage assessment method in this paper can indicate the really damage state of the critical components and system, and can be applied in the fault diagnosis and prognosis of the other systems.
