Research on Muzzle Velocity Measurement Method for Underwater Bullets

The movement characteristic and the measurement difficulty of underwater bullets outside muzzle within the range of 3m are introduced. In order to measure the muzzle velocity, a new kind of measurement method is put forward: a pair of standard coil target is used to measure velocity of bullets at different position repeatedly outside muzzle within the range of 3m underwater, the average velocity of different position is used to fit up curve, the muzzle velocity and the moving rule of underwater bullets outside muzzle within the range of 3m are gained. The measurement method is compared with general method which the dynamic characteristic of different coil target is inconsistent that measurement error will be brought in. The muzzle velocity and the movement rule of underwater bullets outside muzzle within the range of 3m are reliable statistically using new method, and the rule of bullets movement is true.
