Research on Dynamic Simulation and Virtual Test of Gear Meshing Based on Virtual Prototyping Technology
Gear driving is an important kind of driving device in mechanical equipment. Three-dimensional models of gears were created by Pro/E, and the data matrices of the teeth outline were constructed by using MATLAB. The virtual prototype of gear meshing transmission was established based on ADAMS. Aiming at the limitation of gaining the forces acting on the teeth, the real-time dynamic simulations of discrete and continuous teeth mesh were achieved with the theory of Hertz embedded. The effect of eccentricity and teeth shape imperfections was examined and this provides references to research of gear driving device.
