A Survey on MAC Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks

摘要：

The design of an effective medium access control (MAC) protocol is one of the fundamental communication challenges in wireless sensor networks. Firstly, MAC protocols for wireless sensor networks are classified into contention-based channel access, organization-based channel access and hybrid channel access. Then, the multi-channel MAC protocols and integration of MAC with other layers proposed recently are overviewed. Finally, open research issues with regard to MAC layer design are pointed out.
