The Capability of Weak Signals Detection Using Chaos System Initial Condition Sensitivity

The capability of the weak perodic signal detection through Duffing oscillator was researched by computer simulation in this paper. The classical Duffing formulas movement states were analyzed firstly. It was pointed out that the background noise must affect the transition process when detecting weak signal by using the property of sensitive dependence on initial conditions of the Duffing oscillator. In order to study the noise effect, the noise creation in the continuous systems simulation was deduced, and the inputting noise expression was got. The Duffing system movement state was affected by the background noise intensity in simulation experiments. The minimal SNR of the Duffing oscillator weak signal detection was got after analyzing the experiment results when some type background noise existing. The research in this paper will provide the guidance for the practical application of the method.
