Implementation and Optimization of Katsevich Algorithm for Helical Cone-beam CT
Recently, helical CT is more and more widely used in biomedicine and industry. And image reconstruction algorithms based on helical cone-beam scan are in rapid development. In 2001, Katsevich derived the first theoretically exact reconstruction formulae for helical cone-beam geometry in the filtered back-projection. The next year, he improved the formula. This paper researched Katsevich algorithm, implemented it by back-projection filtration reconstruction along the one and only one PI-line of each measured point, then introduced speed optimization projects in aspect of algorithm architect and implementation skill.
