Hot Rolling mill Self-vibration Mechanism Analysis and Vibration Source Diagnoses

An approach of field multi-point vibration test for hot rolling mill housing is presented. The self-vibration mechanism was lucubrated and the vibration source was diagnosed, both using the technology of power spectrum analysis and wavelet package analysis of vibration signal. Analysis result showed that the structure of feedback path displacement sensor is the impressionable place in the AGC system. It leads to the AGC system unstable. Structural parameter of the displacement sensor was not reasonable will result in the serious distortion of the displacement feedback signal, and will induce the self-excitation vibration of the mill housing. The analysis result and the diagnoses conclusion are very significant for establishing the strategy of structural dynamics modification and vibration restraining of hot rolling mill.
