The Application of Wavelet Packet Analysis and Virtual Instrument Technology in Test System of Engineering Machinery
The vibration signal always contains noise and impact signals. Based on the VI (Virtual Instrument) technology and wavelet packet analysis, a vibration signal collection and analysis system was established by using the SCXI (Signal Conditioning Extensions for Instrumentation) modules and ICP vibration sensors. Matlab wavelet packet program was invoked to perform vibration signals analysis through external interface of LabVIEW. The user can design the types of wavelet packet and the decomposition levels. The system was used in the experiment of the collection and analysis of failure signal of bearing. In the experiment, the failure was set on outer ring of rolling bearing of gear speed reducer and the system was used to acquire and analyze the failure signal with sampling frequency 10 KHz. The experiment results show that the signal collection system is excellent in signal recognition and anti-jamming. The system can be used widely in machinery vibration signal collection and analysis. Wavelet packet can strengthen the failure signals effectively and calculate failure frequency precisely. It provides a reliable basis for machinery failure diagnosis.
