Fuzzy Control on Vibration of Adaptive Truss Structures
An entire treatment of designing a Fuzzy Control (FC) system for vibration of adaptive space truss structures with PZT stack actuator is presented to improve the control stability. The effectiveness of the controller is demonstrated through the simulation in Simulink with a flexible adaptive truss shaped as triangular prism, and validated by experiments with various actuating forces in MATLAB/dSPACE integrated environment. The numerical and experimental show that the amplitude of the structural first mode can be reduced more than 90% with FC, and the control results of higher frequency vibrations are also satisfied.
