Improved FDK Algorithm (I-FDK) Considering Practical Place of Projection Imaging Plane
The classic Cone-Beam Reconstruction (FDK) Algorithm which reconstruct three- dimensional image of object is based on fan-beam filtered back projection (FFBP) algorithm. Thus, in the theoretic formula of FFBP, the projection imaging plane is moved to the center of rotation(ignore the distance of the projection imaging plane to the center of rotation ).For this reason, the reconstruction image dimension is magnified while modulus decay decreased when use FDK algorithm. Consider of this problem, our studies focus on the real place of projection imaging plane, proposes the Improved FDK algorithm. Then, we compares reconstruction quality of two different algorithms. The results of computer simulation show I-FDK is accurate with better quality of ct image.
