Application Research of Nondestructive Testing in Improving Launching Safety
In order to improve launching safety, nondestructive testing of warhead charge quality was done by using industry Computed Tomography (CT) ACTIS300 made in American BIR Company. The relation of CT value and material density was set up using special calibration technology. The results show that warhead charge density is higher than corresponding standard charge. Measuring accuracy of industry CT may meet the demand of warhead charge .Cross sections of nondestructive testing scanning havent charge defects such as crack, porosity and loose surface. Charge quality of warhead is guaranteed by no defects. The science foundation of launching safety is offered.
