Application Studies on Spectrographic Analysis in Monitor of the Diesel Testing Process

As a modern oil analysis technique, spectrographic analysis applied to fault diagnosis of the machine equipments, It is available to realize parts nondestructive testing and fault diagnosis by analyzing the representative oil samples. This paper focuses on several tests of a certain tank diesel engine. According to the friction pairs materials composition and the sensitivity to wearing condition, Fe, Cr, Na and B as wearing characterization element have been determined for spectrographic analysis. In contrast with the metallic elements increment rate of different motorcycle hours, it has predicted the fault of the piston module successfully, and provided an important basis for improving the work efficiency and reliability of a certain tank diesel engine.
