The Application of the Steel Dent Method in Measuring the Fuze Output Energy
This article briefly describes the basic principle and measurement method of the steel dent method. A relation expression between explosive detonation pressure and the steel dent depth is found by the statistical treatment to the test data of the detonation pressure and dent depth of various explosive. Based on the accelerated life test of a certain fuze at 15 ℃, 65 ℃, 70 ℃, 75 ℃ and 80 ℃, the axial output energy of explosive sequence of this fuze was measured and many test data of the steel dent were gathered according to this measurement method. Through analyzing the test results, the change curve between the axial output energy of explosive sequence of this fuze and the test stress level (the temperature stress level) was found and solved the quantitative measurement problem of the axial output energy of explosive sequence of a fuze.
