Study on Measuring Method of Barycenter, Centroid and Centroidal Deviation of Projectile
Barycenter, centroid and centroidal deviation of projectiles are important parameters which affect attitude and trajectories of projectiles. This paper presents an improved method that could successfully complete the whole process of the measurement of barycenter and centroid on one platform. The method can eliminate the error caused by the deviation between the reference coordinates for both the measurement of the barycenter and that of the centroid, and improve the measurement precision and efficiency. This paper presents new understanding of the definition of centroidal deviation at the same time by discussing the concept of ideal axes.
