Several Predictions of Equivalent Modulus of Superconducting Busbar for ITER

The superconducting busbar conductor is the layered composite structure. The cable body by the multistage twist of the superconductivity strand and the pure copper strand has hole, quite soft, how does it process affects the equivalent prediction of the entire conductor performance. According to the traditional composite theory, the following several predictions have been carried in this article; not consider completely the cable body and internal helium tube, only consider the functions of the stainless steel conduit outside the cable body, the double insulation and the double shielding layer; the influence of the flexible cable body is extremely small, may neglect, so only considers the function of its internal helium tube; the material nature of the cable body is assumed the isotropism, which the elasticity modulus is 1~10GPa(here takes 5GPa). Finally, the equivalent elasticity modula that is obtained from these predictions and the reference experimental modulus have been compared, and other equivalent parameters have been calculated also.
