A method of Velocity Measurement with Photoelectric Target Based on DSP
The photoelectric target can output different bullet-shape analog signal to different bullet, and the difference of the analog signal can affect the velocity measurement precision. The traditional velocity measurement method with the photoelectric target has some obvious shortcomings in precision and reliability. In this paper, a new method of the bullet velocity measurement is put forward on DSP. The method is based upon data acquisition circuit, and digital signal is processed by DSP apparatus. The method can identify bullet analog signal and measure flying bullet velocity. The correlation algorithm, built on data acquisition of DSP, signal processor circuit and bullet flying velocity, is designed. The analog signal is processed by A/D conversion and data acquisition, and then the captured data is analyzed by digital filter technology. Finally, some disturbing signals, such as gun firelight, shock wave, warhead wave and librations, can be filtered. So the real signals of the bullet are picked up. The accurate flying time of the bullet is calculated by correlation algorithm. The experiment has proved that the method has improved the reliability and precision of the photoelectric target.
