Effects of Heating Temperature on Microstructure and Properties of Waterproof Breathable Layer
Effects of heating Temperature on microstructure and properties of waterproof breathable layer were discussed in this article in order to improve permeability and electrochemical performances. Properties of different layers were tested respectively by steady-state current-voltage polarization curve. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was also used to observe surface of waterproof breathable layer. Life of air electrode was tested by electrolytic device that cathode and anode were air electrode and armor plate respectively. Results showed: After having been heat-treated, the layer had better gas permeability. Aperture distributions of layer became more even. Polarization of air electrode had decreased markedly. Air electrode was running steadily for more than 800 hours.
