This paper introduces a kind of photoelectric device on testing in the size of the rifling of the artillery by use of the digital grating sensor and data processing with computer. which can substitute the traditional mechanic testing device, and can realize the automatic inspection of the artillerys rifling. It also introduced the operational principle of the testing device and made a the precision analysis
