The Development of PXI High-performance Digital I/O Module Based on Verilog HDL
PXI directly integrates PC technology with traditional instrument capabilities to result in broader measurement and automation capabilities. A high-performance digital I/O module based on PXI bus is introduced in this paper. The PXI digital I/O module is a high-performance module for communication between PXI bus test system and peripheral equipments in the field of data domain test. Compared with a typical PXI digital I/O module, a special handshake work mode is added and 32-bit FIFO memory is implemented with two 16-bit SRAM chips in the module. Furthermore, the whole I/O function circuit is implemented in FPGA with Verilog HDL.
