Laser Scanning On-line Detection Theory in Grinding Process and Experiment Research

On both theoretical and experimental study of the grinding process, this paper discusses the vibration of machine tool, the vibration of the workpiece, grinding fluid and other factors on the precision of laser scanning on-line detection. First, in workpiece external grinding process, the mathematical model of workpiece beam’s vertical direction vibration is established. The measuring error d Δ caused by laser scanning on-line detection of the diameter of workpiece d in exist of practical vibration in grinding process can be calculated by the scanning time ts and scanning velocity v. Develops a workpiece surface pneumatic ejector, and effectively solves the impact of grinding fluid, grindings and other factors on the accuracy of laser scanning on-line detection. It shows that in grinding process, even if the workpiece vibration exists, it has little influence to precision detection, due to high laser scanning frequency and velocity. After calculated, the measuring error m d μ 0343 . 0 = Δ , which can be neglected. According to detecting statistics, the workpiece external diameter is constant, and the theoretical analysis conforms to the experimental result. Through the cleanout process, the result of laser scanning on-line detection is not influenced, in the existence of the grinding fluid and grindings on the surface.
