Atomic image and site occupation of ordering process study on Ni75Al25-xFex alloy1
Microscopic phase-field model is used investigate the ordering progress and the atomic site occupation of Ni75Al25-xFex alloy by simulating the atomic images, calculating long-range order parameters and concentration, and characterizing the information processing of the atomic site occupation in the γ phase. The investigations find that the Fe atoms partly occupy the B-site, and share B-site with Al atoms together. The precipitated γ phase is a kind of the complex Ni3(Al1-xFex) single-phase. The γ precipitation obeys the congruent ordering and spinodal decomposition style. The obtained results are well consistent with the correlative testing experiments of the x-ray-diffraction and 3 dimension atom probes. It has a certain theory instructing to further study the microstructure and the properties of the Ni75Al25-xFex alloy.
