Meso-conversion mechanism of acoustic, optical and electric signals, and multi-functionality integrated in a micro-chip

A meso-conversion mechanism of acoustic, optical and electric signals is proposed in order to realize multi-functionality integrated on a chip, which is extremely useful in micro/ nano -opto -electro- mechanical systems. Three meso-effects are discussed in this paper: (a) Wireless sensing of mechanical signals using the meso -piezo -resistance, which is expected to convert a strain signal into an optical emission signal; (b) Conversion of an optical signal into a resonant tunneling current using a meso- photoelelctric; (c) Conversion of a mechanical signal into optical signal, such as optical accelerators, using the meso -piezo -optical effect.
