The existed difficulties and solving schemes of small pipe size ECT system used in pneumatic conveying
The design of small size sensor for Electric Capacitance Tomography (ECT) faces a challenge which also exists in other kinds of ECT sensors but not so serious. The smaller capacitance variance puts harsher requirement on the design of the detection circuits due to its values proportional to the axial length of electrodes. Recently, potential measurements on floating electrodes are reported to implement image reconstruction successfully 1. In this paper, the difference between the potentials and the traditional capacitance measuring methods is explored.
