Simulation of a Gasoline Injection System Based on AMESim

Aimed at calling for a better fuel economy and lower emissions of the automobile. it is essential to precisely control the injection quantity. In the gasoline injection system, the pressure pulsations due to the opening or closing of injectors and the returning fuel pressure can influence the injection quantity of every cylinder, and create audible noise. A method using simulation based on AMESim is put forward to research the pressure pulsation in this paper. This paper presents the benefits of using simulation as a tool to analyze behaviors of a V4 gasoline injection system. The gasoline injection system modeling, based on a one-dimensional lumped parameter approach, has been developed in the AMESim environment. By setting the simulation parameter and changing the factors affecting the injection pressure, simulation of the different status is done. According to the simulation data, speed of the engine and the injection time influence the injection pressure. Through adding a pressure damper on the studied system and optimizing the construction parameter, the system can reduce the pressure pulsation of the gasoline system. Its results accord with the injection system on the actual set.
