The Detecting Leaking Point of Pipeline with Wavelet Wave Analysis-Negative Pressure Wave Detecting Method
Leak hunting and accurate detecting of long distance pipe which conveying fluid/gas are urgently needed to be resolved in engineering. The singular point or irregular catastrophe part of measurement signal wave is also considered one of important characteristic of signal and often carries important information which can be applied to pattern recognition. Such as singular flux, singular pressure drop and so on, they are all reflected as measurement singular catastrophe point, so it is important to detect catastrophe point in leak hunting. However, wavelet analysis has the characteristic such as spatial locality. It can be used in analyzing singularity of signal, even singularity position and size of singularity degree based on difference of wavelet transform singular point (such as extreme point, zero-crossing point and so on) in various scales. Maximum wavelet transform modulus and its characteristic in multi-scale are effective method to detect signal catastrophe point, different behave on edge and leaking point.
