Design of distributed insulation detection of DC system
Insulation property is one important parameter for electric power direct current (DC) system. A distributed insulation detection framework is presented and implemented in this article. The framework is composed of three layer: master supervisor, communication layer and distributed remote terminal units (RTU). A high efficient and reliable communication protocol was structured. Using the system, the management staff can monitor insulation state of DC system. The distributed framework reduces complexity of system and improved system scalability, safety and reliability. The system has been applied in several power plant and transformer substation. The result of practical running shows that the system can satisfy the need of precision and has good performance
