Application of Profibus-DP Fieldbus Technology in Electric Drive System
Field bus technology is an important direction of industry in the automation control field. Profibus-DP is one of the most popular field buses. This paper presents the functions and characters of the profibus-DP fieldbus technology according to the demands and characters of electric drive system. The design of electric drive system based on Profibus-DP fieldbus and WinCC supervision and control software, which are made up of Siemens S7-300 PLC, SIMOREG DC-MASTER 6RA70 and MICROMASTER 440 （MM440 ）inverters, are described. The functions of the system are also introduced. Parameters settings on network and communication of S7-300 PLC 、 MM440 converters and SIMOREG DC-MASTER 6RA70 are presented . Furthermore, data collection, data communication and relative software are described. The implementation of PLC network control system based on Profibus-DP, the application of WinCC that implement supervisor and controlling and data acquisition are also introduced. The tests show that the system is characterized by high accuracy, high reliability and easily maintenance.
