Analysis of Data Storage in Different Test Environment
Data storage plays an essential role in todays fast growing data-intensive network services. Currently, the most widely used storage access protocol is Internet SCSI (iSCSI). To evaluate the performance of iSCSI protocol, we constructed six test environments that satisfy different data consistency and security requirements, and then acquired some valid test data. By analyzing these test data, it is found that if you use different security and recovery schemes in data storage system, the performance (e.g., throughput; CPU utilization; packet loss; bandwidth availability) of the system is variety. This study also identified that there is an optimum consistency and security scheme that optimizes the performance in different information transfer situations.
