Research on dynamic damage power for the performed fragment warhead

Along with the variational modern war mode, the defensive and attacking targets in the battlefield are shown to the armored targets. Now, the research of air defense antimissile and antiarmored fighting vehicles is becoming the major task all over the world. Because the incapacitating fragments of the performed fragment warhead have regular shape, good velocity attenuation characteristics, and high utilization ratio of explosive energy, the performed fragment warhead has been developed widely in aeroamphibious battlefield. In this paper, the lethal area of effective fragments was used to analyze the dynamic damage power of the preformed fragment warhead. Firstly, the dynamic shell body coordinate system was founded. Then, the dynamic velocities were gained, and the dynamics attenuation law of the preformed fragments was analyzed. On that basis, the dynamics model was founded, and was computed with MATLAB. At last, the falling point elements were gained. The results can provide the preformed fragment warhead some helpful references to the rational choice of the burst point height, the damage effective evaluation and the optimization design.
