Approximate Calculation of Shaped Charge Jet Speed From Powder Metallurgical Liner and Its Measurement
Mechanical property of powder metallurgical material is different from that of solid material because of the existence of porosity, and the classical velocity formula on the basis of assumption of solid and homogeneous material is not proper to the calculation of shaped charge jet from powder metallurgical liner. The characteristic of porous material and effect on the detonation pressure and energy are analyzed, the engineering calculation formula suitable for shaped charge jet from powder metallurgical liner is presented based on the Randers-Pehrson theory and compared with X measurement, it is shown that the calculation result meets well with the measured velocity.
