Study on QoS Routing of Content Delivery Networks
In recent years, Content Delivery Networks (CDN) as an effective way to solve the network traffic and bandwidth bottleneck problem obtain a huge success, but the traditional load balancing technology of CDN only considers the server load to redirect the user request, which cannot assure the performance of the response to the user and the selected CDN server often is not the best one. The redirect processing doesnt consider the Quality of Service (QoS) metrics, such as bandwidth, delay, loss rate, delay fitter, cost and so on. In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of CDN and combine the traditional QoS routing algorithm of overlay networks, introduce the modified shortest-distance path (MSDP) algorithm to CDN.
