A Novel Method of Making Intrusion Tolerant by Using Secure TCP Connections Redirection

Intrusion tolerance is a new approach that has slowly emerged during the past decade, it concerns with ensuring that a system continues to provide security, in spite of partially successful intrusions. The objective of intrusion tolerance is to maintain acceptable (but possibly degraded) system services when intrusions occur, and so it is regarded as the ultimate defense of the protected systems. In this paper, we show how to transparently building an intrusion tolerant system by using secure TCP connections redirection method in TCP-based network.
