A New OSIC Detection Algorithm for V-BLAST Systems
The performance of ZF (zero forcing) OSIC (ordered successive interference cancellation) detection is limited because it can eliminate the inter-symbols interference completely, but amplifies the noise. MMSE (Minimum mean square error) OSIC detection considers a trade-off between noise amplification and interference suppression, which outperforms the ZF OSIC detection. In this paper, an algorithm based on maximizing signal-to-interference-plus-noise-ratio (MSINR) with weighing is presented. This new algorithm can suppress the symbol interference and noise more effectively than MMSE OSIC detection. Simulations show the presented algorithm has lower symbol error rate (SER) than MMSE OSIC detection obviously, especially when the number of transmit antennas is equal to the number of receive antennas.
