Interaction and Social Presence in Technology-Mediated Learning: A Partial Least Squares Model
Students may hesitate to enroll online courses when they perceive the difficulty of interaction in Technology-Mediated Learning environment. This study investigated this important research issue by surveying online MBA program graduates on their perceptions on the interaction and social presence between students and instructors in Technology-Mediated Learning. The research findings reported that oral-based interaction had a significant impact on social presence and social presence had a significant impact on e-Learning performance. Implications of the research findings were discussed.
