International logistics providers are constantly seeking to improve their competitiveness through the use of information systems. Most of the existing literature on the logistics sectors use of information systems focuses on the use of a single IT system at a time rather than looking at this issue from a set-based perspective. Taking a unique look at how major logistics firms use their information systems, this study investigates the IT sets of different information sub-systems in place at logistics firms and their effects on these companies performances. Market Basket Analysis is used first to identify the most frequently used combinations of information systems, and is then followed by a statistical analysis based on t-testing to evaluate the organizational performance of logistics firms.
