Coordinated Control of Urban Expressway Networks via MPC

摘要：

Taking Beijing urban expressway as research object,the optimal traffic control strategies on model predictive control for ramp metering in urban expressway is considered in this paper.A generic problem formulation is presented in the format of a discrete-time optimal control problem whose numerical solution is achieved by use of the minimal principle on discrete-time non-linear system.An illustrative example with two pairs of entrance ramp and exit ramp is validated and the results demonstrate the efficiency of the approach proposed.
