An Innovative Mode of Supply Chain Management in Tsinghua University Press

To solve many issues that exist in supply chain management in publishing enterprises in China, combined with an innovative mode case for Tsinghua University Press, this article has proposed a strategy named as Integration of Branch Press Platform and Distributor. Several comparisons between and analysis of the new strategic mode and outdated supply chain mode have been conducted by adopting the most optimal decision to support system model calculation, and restructuring and optimizing the new logistic network. Results from calculation and analysis have indicated that Integration of Branch Press Platform and Distribution strategy could effectively save logistic cost, time cost and total stock cost, improve service and reduce bullwhip effect. This innovative supply chain management mode has offered a valuable reference for other publishing enterprises while they are making nationwide promotion in China.
