Modeling and Analysis of Supply Chain System for MTO Production based on GSPN Approach
This paper presents a systematic methodology for modeling and analysis of supply chain system for make-to-order (MTO) production. It also proposes control strategy and method to operate such supply chain system by generalized stochastic petri net (GSPN) approach. The supply chain system is deemed as a discrete event dynamic system and based on the process model of the supply chain system, the performance of the whole system is analyzed. The configuration characters of the supply chain system are presented and the process models are built by GSPN approach combined with Markov chain. With this approach, the utility of resource , overflow, bottleneck and throughput of the whole system are calculated by solving the steady state probability of GSPN model. The result can provide the possibility to optimize the system performance and enterprise business process. Finally a simple application model of an automobile supply chain system for MTO production is presented and analyzed.
