Stabilization of Networked Control Systems with Time Delay and Packet Dropout — Part I
The two companion papers address the stabilization problem of networked control systems (NCSs). By introducing the lifting technique into NCSs, a noval discrete-time switch model is proposed under consideration of both time delay and packet dropout in the transmission. In the framework of the given model, the stability condition of NCSs is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Based on the obtained stability condition, the corresponding controller design problem is solved by exploiting the cone complementarity linearization (CCL) method, together with a sequential minimization problem subject to LMI constraints. Simulation and experimental results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. This paper, the .rst of two companion papers, focuses on introducing the proposed discrete-time switch model.
