Effects of land supply on urban expansion
In the stage of accelerated industrialization and urbanization in China, that many cities expanded their size recklessly has damaged economic efficiency and social justice. It is urgent to be resolved in the background of building harmonious society. Land supply as the first step of land use should play an important role in restraining urban expansion. This paper examined the effects of land supply on urban expansion by a case study of Wuhan city in China. It concluded that double-track supply system has weakened the effects of land supplied by bureau of land and resources on urban expansion. Then some suggestions were discussed.
