The analysis for UNIDO Demonstration Biogas Project for the treatment of Sisal Waste in Tanzania
The first biogas project for the treatment of sisal waste at Hale in Tanzania was analyzed in technological process and parameters, running status and benefit analysis, and the results showed that 60 m 3 of sisal waste was treated, approximately 1500 m 3 of biogas was produced, 3000 kw.h of electricity was generated by using biogas and 60 ton of bio-fertilizer was provided per day in the biogas plant with a total volume of 2200 m 3 anaerobic digester. So it was practicable using sisal waste to produce biogas for generating electricity. Moreover, the cyclic utilization for the sisal waste was realized by using the residue during the biogas fermentation as better bio-fertilizer, so the benefits of society, economics and environments were achieved through practical demonstration of the biogas project for treatment of sisal waste in Tanzania. Therefore, it is significant to solve pollution of sisal waste and realize comprehensive utilization of sisal in the world with the success of this project
