Hydrothermal preparation of TS-1 film on cordierite with mixed templates
Titanium silicalite-1 molecular sieves (TS-1) were successfully in-situ synthesized and planted on the surface of honeycomb-shaped cordierite support by hydrothermal method. The film formed on internal wall of cordierite was characterized by BET, XRD, FT-IR and SEM. The results showed that after pretreatment with acids, cordierite supports lost their weight by 2-6% but specific surface area increased for 5-10 times. Of them, highest specific surface area is the support pretreated by 37% hydrochloric acid for only one time, which has superior performance in molecular sieve growth to the others. In order to get well shaped and unique crystalline of TS-1, higher ratio of TBA + /TEA + was needed. When the ratio is lower than 1.88, the TS-2 crystal could be formed and found on XRD pattern at the triplet peaks about 2 θ = 45°. Then the effects of other conditions, such as temperature, duration time, on the growth of TS-1 film were also discussed.
